Sportsman Road - Road Work to Begin Monday May 15, 2023 - Road Closure 7AM - 3:30PM

In preparation for the 2023 Township Contracted Road Work, the Public Works Team will be conducting milling and repair. Our public works team will again be conducting internal repairs using the Asphalt Zipper machine purchased last year. This equipment allows our team to remove broken areas of roadway and fill those areas in ahead of contracted road project. The road work conducted internally by our public works team on Sportsman Road will save approximately $60k. Below are the details of the work which will occur over a three week timeframe starting on Monday 5/15/2023:
Where: Sportsman Road from Five Points Rd to Huntzinger Rd
When: Starting Monday 5/15/2023 hours of 7:00AM to 3:30PM
Work will last approximately 3 weeks total Mon-Fri
What: Public works will be milling and filling damaged sections
of Sportsman Road in anticipation of the contracted road
work which will occur sometime between June-Sept
Why: Township acquired Asphalt Zipper machine to conduct
repairs internally. By milling/repairing Sportsman with our
staff the Township saves approximately $60k.
Travel: CW Bus traffic and local traffic (to and from homes) only
during the construction timeframe all other traffic will
not be permitted.
Posting: Signs have been posted with road closure signs/markings
posted during the work hours. CodeRed will be issued
and website will also be updated.
